Mr. Farrar has an extensive background in finance, lending, raising capital and business operations. He has built several businesses from the ground up and enjoys the challenge of bringing new ideas to market. His experience and passion for finance helps Velocity Commercial Capital deliver success for its clients.

Prior to founding Velocity, Mr. Farrar started Worth Funding, a mortgage banking firm that grew from loan production of $2 million per month to more than $150 million per month. He facilitated the raising of capital and the creation of banking relationships, in addition to being responsible for operations and all other financial management aspects of the company.

Previously, Mr. Farrar worked for Weyerhaeuser Mortgage (now WMC Mortgage) as the Senior Vice President of U.S. Production. He managed over 1,700 associates with full P&L responsibility for 10 regions throughout the country. During his tenure, Weyerhaeuser grew in production from $300 million to over $3 billion a year.

Mr. Farrar served as a Vice President for Namco Capital originating commercial real estate loans prior to his post at Weyerhauser. In addition, Mr. Farrar developed several apartment and condominium projects in Southern California as an owner/developer.

Mr. Farrar received his degree from Pepperdine University in business administration and is licensed as a California Real Estate Broker.
